SDG 4 Quality Education: Book Summary- Think and Grow Rich

Quality Education is an important element for laying the foundation of any enterprise, society or culture. The thinking process of person is moulded from the information he/she acquires in his/her life. Today, we are reviewing a book which has been completed in 20 years by Napoleon Hill by studying the life of famous personalities like Andrew Carnegie (one of the first philantrophist world has ever witnessed), Henry Ford (visionary who transformed the socio-economic conditions of underprivileged by making cars accessible to them), Edison (Revolutionise electricity and provided world with new innovations), etc. Here are the key elements of the book:

1. We must have a definitive purpose. When we combine a burning desire with action we are able to move mountains. While defining a purpose you must look at both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the goal. Ask yourself: Why? What? and How? Eg: Ayush is going to complete 5 articles by 30th Aug’21 on Book reviews for Quality Education for all. In this, Ayush has assigned the specifics of the goals which makes is easier for visualization hence realization.
2. The power of auto suggestions help your subconscious to stay focused on your goal. Repeat the purpose in your mind again and again. This strategy of repetition of affirmations towards your goals will help you to build focus in life.
3. One of the primary objectives is to mould your subconscious to work automatically towards your goals. Sub conscious responds to emotions hence you should use emotions to remind yourself the feeling you will have when you will accomplish your goals. Similar philosophy has been mentioned in “The Secret” as well.
4. Persistence actions are required by every aspiring person to accomplish their visions. Unless or until you take steps towards achieving your goals every single day, it is highly unlikely that success comes to you. Once Elon Musk was asked how has he achieved so much in his life and what advice will he give to aspiring entrepreneurs, he suggestion to work even 80–100 hours a week because you have to submit yourself to your goals to achieve greatness in life.
5. Once upon a time, a military leader went on the shores of Aztec civilization and realized that they were outnumbered by 1:100 men. The leader asked soldiers to burn all the boats and they didnt have any other option except “do or die”. If you want to achieve success and be committed towards your goals you should cut off all paths of retreat. This combined with burning desire and persistent actions will lead the path of success for you.
